7 Re-Lyte Flavors
The newest flavors are on top of this list. Mango and Strawberry Lemonade came out in July of 2021. The first flavors were Unflavored, Lemon Lime, and Mixed Berry.
- Strawberry Lemonade
- Pina Colada
- Watermelon Lime
- Lemon Lime
- Mixed Berry
How do Re-Lyte Electrolytes Taste?
One of the most important factors in purchasing a drink mix is how good it will taste for you. Below are descriptions to give you the best idea without trying them yourself.
For all of the options, I would say they are not overbearing in the sweet department compared to some other brands, like Gatorade with sugar.
For the flavors with some coconut water powder, it provides a little citrus flavor as well.
All of the flavors are also pretty salty. If you are not on a keto diet, you may find them too salty.
After being keto for more than 2 years and adding salt to everything, I find the saltiness the perfect amount. Heck, I could even add more salt to them.
Unflavored: Unflavored is best described as salty. Without any flavor to it, it’s just like saltwater but with extra minerals that you can’t taste.
Mango: This flavor provides a good true flavor to what mango tastes like.
Strawberry Lemonade: It’s a good even mix of strawberry and lemonade flavors. The taste is light and refreshing.
Pina Colada: This is like a salty pina colada that’s not creamy. Still very refreshing on a hot day though. When you compare the sweetness to the mixed berry, the pina colada is a little sweeter.
Watermelon Lime: When I first tried this to pick out the flavors better, I thought it tasted like a sweet berry lime but has more lime flavor than the watermelon.
Then the second time I tried it while picking out the flavor notes, I got a good mix. No one flavor shined through more.
This flavor is a little less sweet compared to the Pina Colada.
Lemon Lime: This flavor is similar to the lemon-lime flavor from Gatorade. It has a good mix of lemon and lime flavor equally.
I tried to see if I could tell if one flavor was stronger than the other, but I couldn’t.
Mixed Berry: Mixed berry gives a light berry taste. This one tastes less sweet compared to Pina Colada and Watermelon Lime.
No Junk Ingredients
I really like how this product has no extra fillers that are not needed and the ingredients are what people say are “clean.” I personally hate using the clean word.
There is no sugar, no artificial sweeteners, or flavorings.

Electrolytes and Amounts
Some electrolyte powders that are great for keto only have the 3 main electrolytes (sodium, potassium, and magnesium), such as LMNT, but Re-Lyte from Redmond’s Life has 2 more.
The newer flavors of Mango and Strawberry Lemonade have different amounts of nutrients compared to the others. You can see this on the nutrition label.
I reached out to the company and asked why there was a difference in amount between the new and previous flavors.
They informed me that the previous flavors were measured with a heaping scoop and the 2 newer flavors were a level scoop.
So technically, they provide the same amount of nutrients, it will just depend on how you measure. 🙂
Lemon Lime, Watermelon Lime, Pina Colada Flavors, and Unflavored
- 1000 mg Sodium
- 500 mg Potassium
- 60 mg Magnesium

How to Mix to Dissolve Well
- Once you have your water and mix in a bottle or cup, wait for 30 seconds before shaking or mixing.
- Now go ahead and mix it.
- If needed wait again for 10 seconds and shake again.
- You may see some sediment at the bottom but that is just a small amount of the minerals.
If I use a glass, I like to mix it with my Zulay’s milk frother.
Great for Fasting
The unflavored mix is perfect for fasting or if you are on a carnivore diet.
All of the mixes are great to use to avoid the dreaded keto flu as well, due to the electrolytes in the mix your body needs when eating a keto diet. The flavored mixes all have 5 calories.
Can you freeze it and use it as ice cubes, then eat the ice cubes?
Yes, you can freeze the Re-Lyte mixture into ice cubes and then freeze them later.
You could even make them into gummies as I did with this electrolyte gummies recipe.
How many scoops do you need for 1 gallon of water?
If you use 20 ounces of water for 1 scoop, you will need 6.4 scoops for 1 gallon of water.
1 gallon of water is 128 oz. So the math looks like this:128/20=6.4.
Or for other concentrations:
- 128/24=5.3 scoops
As a general rule, you will use 20 oz to 24 oz of water for one scoop of the mix, according to the package. I personally like it best with 16 ounces of water, but everyone is different.
Can you buy single-serve portions?
Yes, you can buy single-serve portions of these electrolyte mixes. They currently have a variety pack of the first 5 flavors, where you get each of one flavor. You can also purchase just one packet.
Or you can get a 30-pack of one flavor. These options are only available for the first 5 flavors they have produced so far. Remember to use code KKN15 for 15% off.
How far is the expiration date typically on the product?
The best by date is for 2 years.
How long does it stay good to drink after mixing?
I have kept the mix in the fridge for at least a week and it was still good to drink.
Will Re-Lyte electrolyte mix help with muscle cramps?
Yes, re-Lyte will help with muscle cramps.
As a general rule muscle cramps are caused by a lack of hydration and low electrolyte levels such as potassium, sodium, and calcium.
This electrolyte mix will provide these nutrients to your body when mixed in water.
Is there caffeine?
There is no caffeine in these Re-Lyte mix powders from Redmond’s.
