Tip: Getting a good sear to seal in the juices and for added flavor is essential. If they feel like they are sticking to the pan, it’s a sign they aren’t ready to turn. Leave them a bit longer, and they will turn over easily.

Step 2: Once they are nice and browned on the top, bottom, and sides of the pork chops, set them aside. Leave as much of the onions and garlic as you can in the skillet as they add flavor to the delicious creamy garlic parmesan low-carb sauce.

I use this method for lunches. The only downfall is that plastic containers take up a bit of freezer space.

Another option is to freeze a large batch of chicken salad. Either put the salad into an airtight container or a large freezer-safe bag. If you put it in a ziplock bag, distribute the salad evenly in the bag and press the contents flat. Freeze on a cookie sheet or freezer shelf. Once it has frozen, you can rearrange it as you’d like. This method doesn’t take up a lot of space.

Freeze the chicken in quantities that work for your family (I usually freeze in 1.5lb portions). It can also be frozen into portions (4-6oz). By freezing the chicken plain, you will never have to worry about which chicken salad ingredients don’t freeze well. Let the chicken defrost and stir in your preferred salad fixings. The flavor and texture will never be compromised!

It is important to note that their two distinct parts have differing freeze-thaw properties when it comes to freezing eggs. While hard-boiled egg yolks freeze and thaw well, egg whites tend to become tough and rubbery upon thawing.

Ingredients for the Cacao Butter Keto Recipes

  • Cacao Butter: I choose to use cacao butter because it’s all fat and once it’s cooled it’s nice and solid.
  • Cream Cheese: There is cream cheese because it helps with the structure and texture of the end result.
  • Butter: Having a little bit of butter aids in adding extra fat and flavor.
  • Egg: The eggs job, like most recipes, helps with the structure and holds everything together.
  • Lemon and Lemon Monk Fruit Drops: This of course gives it the lemon flavor. I like using these options instead of lemon juice to save on the carbs.

Cooking the Cacao Butter Keto Lemon Cake Recipe

I used a bundt cake silicone mold for this lemon flavored cake. I did not fill the whole mold. However, the mold allows for a 2.5 inches deep and 5 inches wide of filling.  I found my mold on Wish.com.

Or there are other similar molds you can get on Amazon. This one here is a 9-inch one that is similar to the one I used.

One thing to keep in mind is the cooking time with a different size mold.  When you remove the cake, you want some giggle left in the middle. Similar to how you want cheesecake to come out of the oven.

If it’s more firm than giggle it’s still okay and will taste great, the texture will just be different.

What Sweetener to Use

To further help keep the total carbs under 10 for this whole cacao butter keto recipe lemon cake, I like to use pure monk fruit sweetener.

The most common keto sweetener is erythritol in granular or powdered form. Companies make a erythritol and monk fruit mix, but I try to avoid using those when possible, as there are carbs in erythritol.

Lemon Flavoring

This cake tastes great with no flavor or even sweetener in my opinion. However, I still felt the need to make it extra special with some flavor and some sweetness for you all. Since the finished product looked yellow and someone on my Instagram account suggested lemon, I went to a lemon cake.

I played with my lemon extract and it was alright but it did not hit the spot quite right. So I also added in some monk fruit drops that were flavored lemon. Nailed it! To really kick in the flavor more, add some lemon zest to the batter.

However, you do not have to go lemon with this cake, feel free to add any other kind of flavor you would like. The possibilities are endless. 🙂

1.6 total carbs for this flourless keto lemon cake. This homemade recipe from scratch is not dense but very moist. I also love that it’s easy and gluten free.

Instructions

  1. Bring the butter and cream cheese to room temperature or close as possible and place in mixing bowl.
  2. Melt the cacao butter in small bursts in the microwave or on the stove top. Cutting up the cacao butter will help it melt faster.
  3. Pour the melted cacao butter of the cream cheese and butter. Blend these 3 ingredients together.
  4. Add in the egg, extracts and monk fruit. Blend all together.
  5. Pour or put the batter into your cake mold. I used a bundt cake silicone mold. I did not fill the whole mold. However, the mold allows for a 2.5 inches deep and 5 inches wide of filling. 
  6. Cook in your oven on 325 for 18 minutes. See cooking note above recipe.
  7. Allow to set and cool in the fridge.

Notes

Your nutrition may vary depending on what you use. My cream cheese said less than 1 g of carbs and I always use 0.4 grams when I see that. I get my nutrition information from the package or from www.http://nutritiondata.self.com

21Keto and Low-Carb Desserts Without Erythritol

To make my keto desserts very low in total carbs, I try very hard not to use erythritol in my desserts.

Another benefit to not using erythritol is that some people get an upset stomach from it and diarrhea (source). People also like to stay away from all artificial sweeteners.

Below are 21 desserts that use pure monk fruit sweetener instead of erythritol. Monk fruit is not an artificial sweetener and contains zero calories and carbs (source).

Some people don’t like the taste of monk fruit and that’s okay. If you are one of those people, you can use stevia instead. Just make sure to use the pure form of stevia without anything else added to it.

Below all the recipes, I provide some sweetener options that can replace erythritol in some keto desserts. The blog of Wholesome Yum Foods created it.

Chocolate Blueberry Cake

This chocolate cake uses mostly collagen and cocoa powder for its flour base and just a tiny bit of coconut flour. To make the cake sweet both forms of monk fruit are used; liquid and solid.

There are 5.2 total carbs and 2.4 net carbs in this dessert with only 3 main steps.

Lemon Mug Cake

There are no flours used to make this lemon cake as well to keep the carbs extremely low. In fact, there is only 1 total carb in this mug cake recipe.

Chocolate Mug Cake

Here is another cake recipe that uses zero flour and no erythritol. Just like the lemon cake above, the dry ingredients are mostly collagen and cocoa powder.

The sweetener is liquid monk fruit which helps make the total carbs in this recipe only 2.4. The net carbs are 0.4 grams.

Chocolate Spice Cupcakes

The chocolate spice cupcakes are made with cocoa powder, eggs, butter, and cream cheese as their base ingredients.

The cupcake recipe was inspired by the famous keto egg loaf recipe, which I do have on this site as well. The egg loaf recipe makes for a great french toast that requires no erythritol as well.

Silky Keto Frosting

The frosting makes all cakes better and this frosting recipe is no different. A lot of keto frosting recipes need a bulk sweetener to keep it sturdy, but this one does not.

It uses xanthan gum and whipping powder to keep it stable on your cupcakes or large cakes.

Peanut Butter Frosting

This is another frosting recipe that does not need a bulk sweetener and only uses 2 main ingredients. The peanut butter frosting would be amazing on any chocolate cake.

Butter Cookies

Butter makes everything better and this butter cookie recipe is no different. These cookies are ready in 15 minutes or less with only 1.5 total carbs.

Almond Joy Cookies

The flour in these almond joy cookies comes from ground-up shredded coconut shreds and cocoa powder for the chocolate.

No keto flour is needed. Liquid monk fruit is also used for its sweetness.

Egg Nog Cookies

These eggnog cookies are soft, tender, and cake-like in texture but with just the right amount of eggnog flavor.

There is even a caramel sauce recipe linked in the cookie post that does not use erythritol, which you can drizzle on the finished cookies.

Pumpkin Cookies

These are soft cookies and when you add whipped cream on top, they taste just like a pumpkin pie.

The pumpkin cookies do use coconut flour and they are 1 total carb.

Pumpkin Pie

If you can’t have eggs or you just don’t have them in the house, you can have this pumpkin pie! Enjoy this pie even when it’s not fall, it’s great year-round.

Orange and chocolate are amazing together and since I couldn’t find this flavor in stores I made it at home. Add more sweetener if needed to this orange dark chocolate.

Strawberry White Chocolate Mousse

Make sure to read the post to get extra tips on this strawberry and chocolate mousse recipe. Skip the erythritol and use liquid monk fruit as suggested in the ingredients.

Alternative Sweeteners for Keto Baking

The blog of Wholesome Yum Foods created sweeteners that combine monk fruit and allulose together. This sweetener is a 1 to 1 equal exchange to regular sugar. You can use this blend instead of an erythritol blend.

The only downside to not using erythritol in some baked goods is that you won’t be able to have crispy cookies. Allulose does not crystalize when it’s cooled as erythritol does.

All of their syrups have zero erythritol in them as well.

One way to make your cookies crisp up more is to leave them out in the air and they will be harder.

This company also has baking mixes made with zero erythritol as well. This is definitely hard to find in the store.

Zero Carb Carnivore Bread: 3 Total Ingredients

This bread is merely bread with zero carbs. And when it says zero, I mean no carbs and zero fiber, no extra math to make the carbs equal to zero. There are no almond or coconut flours. No nut or seed butter either.

Ingredient Substitutions for the Carnivore Bread

The Ground Meat
The original recipe calls for ground pork. However, beef and even chicken will also work. Ground turkey would also do the job. Depending on what meat you choose the macronutrient content will vary.

For example, if using ground chicken breast, the loaf will be leaner compared to using ground pork.

Pork Rind Options
There are pork rinds out there that are flavored. This recipe calls for your basic non-flavored variety. However, feel free and experiment with flavors.

Pre-Crushed V.S. Whole
You can find pork rinds that come pre-crushed or you can crush them yourself. If I’m feeling lazy I will use the pre-crushed kind. This makes cleaning and life just that much easier. The pre-crushed kind could cost more though, so keep that in mind.

Here is the zero bread loaf made with chicken, so it may be lighter in color than yours before cooking.

Unlike some keto bread out there, this bread is not eggy at all.

Texture
This pork rind bread is also pretty dense, not your usual keto bread recipes that can come out soggy and eggy.

The Flavor
It can give off the flavor of the meat you choose to use for this recipe.

Adrienne used chicken in making this recipe. She stated that when you pair this pork rind bread with lunch meat or even use it for a grilled cheese sandwich, the chicken flavor is mostly covered up.

Could I make biscuits?
As can be seen in the video above, Jonathan creates biscuits out of this bread recipe. So, feel free to make those instead of the bread loaf if you wish.

Storage

Once the bread has cooled. Place it in an airtight container and keep it in your fridge for up to 7 days. You can also store the bread in your freezer.

If you choose to put some loaves in the freezer, pre-slice it and put parchment paper between each slice. Doing this will make it easier for you to take slices at a time.

Looking for the best lowest carb bread recipe? Stop searching and make this carnivore bread recipe with pork rinds and 2 more ingredients. NO eggy taste either and toasts up perfectly!

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375F.

2. Separate the eggs and beat the whites until stiff peaks form.

3. Next crush your pork rinds into a fine powder. ( I used a food processor )

4. Take egg yolks and combine with ground meat. A food processor or blender also works great here.

5. Add in half the egg whites to the mixture and blend.

6. After blended together, remove from the blender into a large bowl and fold in the rest of the egg whites. The batter will be lighter and bouncier.

7. Add in crushed pork rinds and FOLD in until the batter starts to thicken.

8. Place in a loaf pan and bake at 375’F for 50-60 mins or until it starts to brown.
